Crew,

It is that time of year when we turn to family and friends, and of course our shipmates and wish them well now and all year long.

If you have not visited the USS Semmes web site recently and in particular the photo album, you are missing out on the memories one of our shipmates has been sharing with all the crew.  Many photos from 1964,1965, and 1966 have been sent in and are posted on the site.

If you have photos you would like to submit please consider sharing them with all the crew.

To submit photos, give each picture a file name that gives the date of when the photo was taken, and then send them via email to Tom Ringate tringate at tampabay.rr.com   an example is:

1975-09-12_liberty in Charleston.jpg

All the photos are placed into an album by year, so the estimated exact year is critical.  Once a photo has been added, I am not able to move it to a different album.  The only thing I can do is delete it and then put it back into the new album which turns out to be a lot of work.

If some of you would like to assist in adding captions to photos on the Semmes web site, send me a self chosen user ID and password that you will be able to use to access the photo album on the web site.  You will have edit capability for all photos so you can add a caption, or comment to any photo on the site.
