Thank you for sending this along!  I am one of those farm boys who walked the decks of the Semmes.  The writing is beautiful.

I'd enjoy hearing from any shipmates -- I was aboard from February 1974 'til January of 1977.  I'm particularly trying to contact Tom Williams, who served on the Semmes from sometime in 1973 until late 1976.  He was also an IC electrician, came from West Chester, PA, and was in my wedding party in 1976.
