1975 = Reported aboard
in October from Yeoman A School in Meridian Mississippi
1976 = Deployed overseas on a Middle East Cruise. Worked in
ship's office for IS1 Bentley
1977 = Deployed overseas on a Mediterranean Cruise
1978 = Exchanged positions with a Yeoman aboard the USS
MULLINNIX (DD 944)
His wife was expecting first child and he did not want to be
absent: I volunteered.
Deployed overseas on a Middle East Cruise.
1979 = Discharged with 60 days leave. Returned to Minnesota.
Attended Normandale Community College in Bloomington,
1981 = Took Employment with Northwest Airlines and married in
1983 = Re-entered the U.S. Navy as an active duty Reservists
in Dubuque, Iowa
1985 = Transferred to REDCOM SIXTEEN in Minneapolis,
1987 = Discharged. Took employment with the U.S. Postal
Service as a Letter Carrier
1988 = Enlisted with the Minnesota Army National Guard
(Retired in 1999 with 23 years service)
1994 = Two year assignment with Personnel at the U.S. Postal
1995 = Divorced after 14 years of marriage
2000 = Acting Letter Carrier Supervisor at University
I have 5 children (ages 10
to 20) and currently reside in St Paul.
I enjoy biking, classical music, antiques and art (i.e., Julien
Dupre, Hans Dahl & Jules Breton).
I am a single digit at the P.O. and hope to retire within the
next nine years at age 55.
Have stayed in touch with one shipmate (DAVE GARRISON)
