Here's a neat picture of me taken in 1963 standing next to the cannon in
1963. Another of me taken by my wife 39 years later! The large tree at right
has grown so much that you can hardly see the statue in the back, but you
can see the base of it in each photo. The palm tree was there in 1963 but
cut off in the picture. And it looks like they added a brick pavement around
the cannon since. Can't imagine where that 28 inch waist disappeared to?
